Neon Core Crew / Privacy
Privacy Policy
Neon Core: Red Reactor (“the game”) is made by Neon Core Crew. We collect as little as we can. Accounts are optional: you can play without one. There are no ads and no tracking cookies in the game.
What the game stores on your device
Your progress — call sign, resources, upgrades, tutorial flags and settings — is saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device. If you sign in, a random sign-in key is kept there too. Clearing site data or using a private window removes them.
What reaches our server
- Call sign and scores. When you start an expedition, your call sign, a random player ID made by the game and your scores are sent to our server so the public Top 10 and expedition rewards work. Your call sign is public: anyone who opens the Top 10 can see it. Please don’t use your real name.
- Anonymous gameplay events. To find bugs and confusing places during testing, the game sends events such as “level started”, “tutorial step”, “first flight finished” and the screen you were on when you closed the game. Each event carries a random device ID, the game version, the platform and the device type (for example “iPhone” or “desktop”). Events do not include your call sign, name, email or location.
- Reports. If you report a call sign in the Top 10, we store the reported name and your random device ID so one device counts once.
Our server runs on Cloudflare. To stop abuse it counts requests per network address for a few minutes; the address is turned into a one-way code (hash) and is never stored as is. These counters are deleted within a day.
If you sign in (optional)
You can sign in with your email address to keep your call sign for yourself and to continue your game on another device. There is no password: we email you a 6-digit code. When you sign in, we store:
- Your email address — only to send you sign-in codes and, if you write to us, our support replies. It is never shown in the game or in the Top 10.
- Your call sign — so no one else can use it in the Top 10.
- A copy of your game progress (cloud save), so you can continue on another device.
Sign-in emails are sent by Cloudflare Email Service. Sign-in codes and sign-in keys are stored only as one-way codes (hashes). Your account is not linked to the anonymous gameplay events. We never sell your data or use it for ads.
Feedback form
The Feedback button opens an anonymous form hosted by Tally. It doesn’t ask for your name or email. The link adds the game version, the device type and the current screen so we can find the bug you describe. Tally’s own privacy policy applies to the form.
Where you play
If you play on a website such as itch.io, that site has its own account and privacy rules, which apply to your visit there.
Children
The game is made for players aged 13 and up. Accounts are optional, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us an email address or put personal information into a call sign, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep data
Scores and call signs stay in the Top 10 while the game is online. Gameplay events are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Your account — email address, call sign and cloud save — stays until you delete it. Sign-in codes stop working after 10 minutes; old codes are deleted every day.
Delete your account, call sign or scores
In the game, open Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your email address and cloud save right away and frees your call sign. Your scores stay in the Top 10 under the call sign.
You can also email support@neoncorecrew.com from the address of your account, or with your call sign spelled exactly as in the game. We will delete your account, or the call sign and its scores, within 30 days. Progress on your device is removed by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
